Hyatt has announced plans for its first Hyatt Regency property in Cambodia. The 250-room hotel will be located in the country’s capital Phnom Penh, and is scheduled to open in 2020.
Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh will feature a fitness centre, spa, rooftop swimming pool and bar with views of the Royal Palace and Mekong river, as well as “authentic food and beverage offering”.
Commenting on the news David Udell, group president – Asia Pacific, Hyatt Hotels Corporation said: “As Phnom Penh continues to become known as a destination for art, culture, tourism and business, we are confident that the globally recognized Hyatt Regency brand will resonate with business and leisure travellers visiting the country.
“Furthermore, we believe the hotel will play a vital role in the city’s development and will become a landmark in the city and a dynamic member of the local community.”
The hotel will join the existing Park Hyatt Siem Reap as the second property by the group in Cambodia.
