As his prandecirc;t wear autumn winter andrsquo;16 collection, the designer rolled out a stunning line up of ensembles inspired by sculptor Mrinalini Mukherjeeandrsquo;s bronze deity statues. The collection was accentuated with organic motifs on the designer's signature drapes and hemlines, outfits that looked even more beautiful when donned by Kangana Ranaut, the showstopper of the evening.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pandlsquo;I walked into the National Gallery of Modern Art, last year, and was blown away by the power of vision and singularity of purpose seeping in Mrinalini Mukherjeeandrsquo;s incredible tour de force creations. The shapes, the drapes, the folds, the unexpected contours, and textures immediately began to take shape in my head as a collection. Certainly, as a point of departure and a mark of respect, I cast these detailings in a simple elegant line up of layered clothes for everyday wear, andrsquo; said Tarun Tahiliani about his inspiration./p pandnbsp;/p pstrongThe Collection/strong/p pandnbsp;/p pThe designerandrsquo;s new prandecirc;t wear line was created in an earthy colour palette of ravishing red, cobalt blue, charcoal, olive and rust. Soft net to Italian tulle, crepe georgette, micro pleated tulle, emchanderi /emand heavy crepe georgette played a vital role in beautifying his line, which was further enhanced with emaari /emwork done in colourful emresham /emthreads and vintage sequin embroidery.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pTo lighten up the mood for the evening, the designer teamed up with singer Isheeta Ganguly, who performed a rendition of andlsquo;Bande Mataramandrsquo; and jammed live to the rhythms of Rajasthani folk.
