Gucci has expanded its global online reach with the introduction of its redesigned website into the Korea and Japan markets.
The new online concept for Gucci.com, pioneered by the brand’s new Creative Director Alessandro Michele, aims to better integrate content and e-commerce functionalities, and includes an editorial section titled “The Agenda” which provides further insight into the fashion house’s collections.
The fresh-look site, which made its debut in the United States last October and was then extended to Europe, the United Arab Emirates and Australia in March, has also been designed to be more mobile-friendly.
Michele was tapped by iconic designer Tom Ford in 2002 and his 12-year tenure at Gucci was followed by his appointment as the new Creative Director of the house in 2015 in a bid to give the brand a fresh direction.
