Regent Seven Seas Cruises has revealed their magnificent Seven Seas Explorer and it’s already being called the most luxurious cruise ship in the world. Slated for a July 13 launch in Monaco, this 14 deck vessel is the fourth addition to Regent’s fleet and can carry 750 passengers.
The ship’s Regent Suite is a palatial 3,875-sq ft. cabin with its own 89 m sq. balcony and spa. A stay in this luxurious suite comes at the daunting price of £27,379 ($36,020 at current exchange) per person for 10 nights. Its spa comes with unlimited free spa treatments from Canyon Ranch not to mention a personal sauna, steam room and treatment area; and a vista garden with floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean.
Located on deck 14, this cabin has two bedrooms, a living room, dining area and bar. Other high end suites include the Master Suite, Grand Suite, Explorer Suite, Seven Seas Suite, Penthouse Suite, Concierge Suite and Superior Suite.
The Canyon Ranch spa on Deck 5 offers a wide range of treatments and to help you relax. Deck 6 features a hi-spec fitness center while deck 12 boasts a sea-view track with putting greens, golf nets, a bocce ball court, and paddle tennis.
The ship’s flagship restaurant is the Compass Rose which is decorated with wood, marble and even mother of pearl. The menu s continental with specialties including Porterhouse steak and Alaskan king crab. The new addition to the ship’s restaurants is the Pacific Rim serving up grilled Korean barbecue lamb chops, wok-fried beans, king oyster mushroom and gochujang dressing.
The ship even features a Culinary Arts Kitchen where budding chefs can take classes that cover French, Italian, tapas, Greek cuisines as well as seafood and healthy meal options.
The ship has a midship main pool with two whirlpools as well as an infinity pool off the huge spa. The main pool area includes double sun loungers and cabanas.
Frank Del Rio, the CEO of Regent’s parent company Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings said, “I wanted this ship to be timeless. That this vessel will be as relevant to the luxury market 20 years from now as it is today. It’s not a fad, it’s not the color of the day, it’s not the cool thing that’s going around now. This is something that will stand the test of time.”
Departing on July 20, the Explorer will make a 14-night maiden voyage to Venice and stop at St Tropez, Ibiza, Palma, Barcelona, Taormina, Koper, Valetta, Split in Croatia and Kotor in Montenegro along the way.
