MSC Cruises and Samsung to Create a Next-Gen Cruise Liner

p/p pSwiss-based cruise builder MSC Cruises announced its partnership with Korean tech conglomerate Samsung to build a next-generation smart cruise liner called the MSC Seaview. The Seaview will come fully-equipped with a host of specialised digital solutions and devices like visual displays, mobile solutions, medical equipments and more that will improve the experience of the passengers on board./p pandnbsp;/p pThe MSC Seaview will feature traditional exteriors, which is standard for most cruise liners, while its interiors will boast of Samsungandrsquo;s special technological touches. Every guest onboard will get a unique identification number that will be saved by the authorities either on a NFC-enabled card, bracelet or a smartphone. This unique number will enable passengers to geo-locate their loved ones on the ship, allow easy access to cabins and also make payments for the additional services that they avail onboard.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pApart from this, they will also get access to interactive screens placed across the Seaview that will help guests make reservations at restaurants and for excursions.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pThe Seaview will also make the use of the beacon technology that will comprise devices placed on specific distances across the ship.
