p/p pandnbsp;/p pThe signature restaurant at Sofitel BKC, Jyran recently invited us to indulge in their new menu curated by Chef Shadab Ahmed. andnbsp;A fine-dining restaurant best known for its rich menu inspired by the North-Western frontiers of India, it treated us to a platter of succulent emkebabs /emand delicious vegetarian and paneer delicacies. The new menu at Jyran sees a host of authentic flavours, perfectly blended with Indian spices and andnbsp;put together using the well-known traditional slow-cooking method.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pOur journey began with a luscious platter of emGalouti kebabs/em, emLahori Seekh Kebab /emand emBarrah/em emGhost Lazeez/em, which are chunks of lamb chops marinated in Indian spices and slow-cooked in clay pot. While the melt-in-the-mouth emkebabs /emand meat delicacies are mind-blowing, the vegetarian option like Paneer emParatdar/em, a cottage cheese entree with mushroom and green peas, is definitely something we recommend. The entrandeacute;e was followed by the main courseandmdash; an assortment of succulent meat curries like the Bengali emposhto gosht/em, piping hot paneer gravy and emmaa ki dal/em, served with emmissi roti /emand butter emnaan/em. Every morsel of this colourful serving was a combination of smooth textures with rich flavours and Indian spices, all plated to define the royal servings from the Mughal era.The main course did not end here, it was followed by slow-cooked emGosht Dum Biryani /emand Masala rice. The hot rice pots are served with yogurt-based vegetable emkuchumbar /emand boondi emraita/em, which fulfilled our desire to relish a north-Indian meal.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pAs all good things must come to an end, the dinner drew to a close with a plate full of Indian desserts, which included generous servings of emkulfi/em, emgulab jamun /emand emrasmali/em. The decadent emmalai kulfi /emtopped with a globe of hot emgulab jamun /emis all andnbsp;we needed to complete this four-course degustation of rich emPeshawari /emmeal. andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pemA dinner for two is priced at INR 5,000 (exclusive of taxes and alcohol)./em/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongMore On andgt;andgt; a href="http://www.luxpresso.com/lifestyle/food-drink" target="_blank"Food andamp; Drink/aandnbsp;/strong/p
