Robin Williams Napa Valley Estate Sells for $18.1 million

French winemakers Alfred and Melanie Tesseron have purchased the Napa Valley Estate of the late Robin Williams for $18.1 million. The estate, Villa Sorriso, is situated atop the Mayacamas Mountains between Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Encompassing approximately 653 acres, the property borders the Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, allowing access to thousands of adjoining acres. The property features a 20,000 square foot main residence, a 3,200 sq. ft. guest house, a 7-stall horse barn, tennis court, hiking and riding trails, a spring-fed pond, more than 100 olive trees, which can produce 30-50 gallons of oil per year, and 18.4 acres of vineyards producing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc wines.

The main residence was constructed in 2003 and is built with Portuguese limestone. It features include 5 bedrooms, 6 full baths and 5 half baths, an oak-paneled library, home theater, family room, elevator, climate controlled cellars for wine and art storage and 3 safe rooms and smart house technology. There’s also a private tower and bridge, a 65 foot infinity swimming pool, and outstanding indoor-outdoor entertainment spaces. Everything is surrounded by antique European stone decking and extensive manicured lawns and multi-tiered sculpture gardens.

The new owners, Alfred and Melanie Tesseron, hail from a famed winemaking family in Bordeaux, France.
