Hugo Boss has ended a 29-year-long partnership for the Indian market with Dubai-based firm BinHendi after it considered the distribution company would not be able to keep pace with the fashion labels’ growth rate.
Instead, Hugo Boss will continue to work with Genesis Luxury, which has led the Indian entry of international luxury labels such as Paul Smith, Bottega Veneta and Jimmy Choo.
The move follows a string of other international brands that have ended their relations with Indian partners to move to new countries where sales and profits are more likely to increase.
