Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts is offering golf enthusiasts an experience they will never forget.

The brand’s hotels in Miami, Nevis and Peninsula Papagayo, Costa Rica are partnering with Magellan Jets to offer an opportunity to play on three world-renowned championship courses, complete with the personalized service of Magellan and Four Seasons. The high-end attraction will thrill a select few, but news of it will extend to a broader consumer-base and showcase the hotel chain’s creativity and dedication.

Wire-to-wire
The Private Jet Tropical Tee and Golf Tour will take consumers to all three hotels via private jet. Golf club, luggage handling, transportation to the airport, shoe shining, tee times and more will be arranged by the partners. A flight team will handle weather, flight tracking, ground transport and in-flight catering and dinners.

One jet can hold up to 12 guests, with additional jets able to be arranged for larger parties. The experience begins at $132,000 for a group of eight but can be modified for groups of other sizes.

The journey begins at Four Seasons Miami, where guests will stay in either a luxury suite or a condominium with a full-size kitchen and other home amenities. The first night will include shopping in Miami’s Design District, while the second will begin with a round of golf at the Crandon Golf Course.

In Costa Rica, patrons will have a chance to zip line, try their hands at a cooking class and partake in the astronomy-inspired “Taste the Stars” experience in addition to spa treatment and playing on Arnold Palmer Golf Course.

In Nevis, guests will be greeted with a private chef dining experience. Spa treatments and a rum pairing will accompany a game on the 6,766-yard, par 71 Robert Trent Jones II-designed course.

The tour will be available beginning April 2016.

Like some other Four Seasons’ “Extraordinary Experiences,” the tour’s price point may limit its market, but it showcases Four Seasons’ willingness to fulfill the wishes of even a relatively niche group. Therefore, the tour serves to showcase Four Seasons’ service to a much broader consumer base than those who opt to take advantage of the tour.

Similarly, the tour shows that Four Seasons, rather than merely being a place for travelers to stay, is a lifestyle brand with unique, creative experiences to offer. With consumers today being more conscious of brand values and aligning themselves discerningly, providing memorable experiences that highlight creativity, friendship and leisure will create a positive image for Four Seasons.

On par
The Private Jet Tropical Tee and Golf Tour fits in closely with Four Seasons’ destination-specific, experiential Extraordinary Experience offerings.

Since March 2014, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has been compiling top experiences from properties around the world for its Extraordinary Experiences Collection series.

The collection aims to immerse guests in a location’s culture, which inevitably leads to a wide range of potential options. Travelers have consistently professed that trips should entail original experiences, and luxury hotel brands are fundamentally shifting to meet this demand (see story).

In another such example, Four Seasons offered the fastest caller an opportunity to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence in style with a 10-day trip centered on the country’s Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The trip, which will also take the lucky couple to Bali, Indonesia and the Maldives, will offer AntiGravity Yoga, helicopter tours, high-end cuisine, a VIP Deck concert experience, a dinner and Champagne cruise and much more for $100,000. The exclusivity, extravagance and high price point will seek to reinstate prestige and experience as primary values among hotels amidst a recent turn to social-consciousness and environmental concern (see story).
