Brioni taps Samuel L Jackson for its Spring 2017 ad campaign

Italian luxury menswear brand Brioni has tapped Samuel L Jackson for its spring ad campaign. The actor features in a series of sleek black-and-white images for the new campaign, which is part of a wider project titled Tailoring Legends, set to showcase portraits of international leading men from different industries each with their own interpretation of the brand.

Brioni already has long dressed a number of Hollywood stars, having previously worked with and dressed on-screen James Bond characters and actors ranging from Denzel Washington to Michael Keaton before teaming up with Jackson.

Jackson has also recently been supporting the brand on the red carpet, opting for Brioni at the Independent Spirit Awards and sporting a blue velvet Bespoke Brioni suit at the Academy Awards.

The company is currently in a period of transition and without a creative director, following Justin O’Shea’s abrupt departure last October after only six months in the role. During his time at the design house O’Shea tapped Metallica for the label’s recent fall 2016 ads.
