Last month, Ralph Lauren closed its Polo store on New York’s Fifth Ave. Now it has closed its 19,000-square-foot location at 265 Greenwich Ave. in Greenwich, Connecticut. The store carried women’s and men’s apparel and accessories, as well as a section with home goods.
The store had a Beaux-Arts limestone façade with large, arched windows and balconies. The interior was designed to feel like a residential space, with a grand staircase, Persian rugs and antique and custom pieces sourced from Europe.
The store closed this weekend, after having been in operation since November 2009. The company had previously announced the store’s closure.
