Roger Dubuis opens new flagship boutique at Harrods, London

Swiss luxury watchmaker Roger Dubuis has recently opened a new flagship boutique in London, at Harrods. Located in the Fine Watch Room, the new boutique is decorated with braided leather, wood and bronze accents, playing to the masculine touch points synonymous with this young, high-horology house, known for its complex, star-patterned skeleton movements.

The first of the exclusive timepieces is a special version of the brand’s flamboyant King Arthur-inspired watch, the Excalibur Knights of the Round Table II (price on request). With 12 sculpted bronze knights as hour markers, the 45mm white-gold piece features an engraved black jade “table” embellished with cobblestone etchings and a satin-finished white-gold rim. The 172-component watch is also water-resistant to 50m and comes with a 48-hour power reserve.

Other new watches will also feature at the boutique, including the high-octane red-and-black Spider Carbon (£184,000), its case, skeletonised bridge and tourbillon upper cage all made from a new-age carbon material. The women’s offering includes a super-chic white version of the Excalibur 36 Automatic (£16,100), studded with 48 diamonds and set on a stylish white alligator strap.
