Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences in Napa Valley, CA has launched the sale of a limited collection of 20 residences ahead of the property’s official opening in early 2019.

The hotelier, under the management and direction of Bald Mountain Development, has broken ground on the 85-room hotel and its 20 two, three and four-bedroom residences. Napa Valley’s allure to cultured luxurians makes it an obvious destination for the Four Seasons brand, which already has several California properties (see story).

Hotel brands are now bringing their best-in-class amenities to an at-home setting with the opening of branded residences.

Homeowners living at Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences, Napa Valley will enjoy wine country living alongside the hotel’s service and attention to detail.

A unique offering of the property is the on-site winery led by winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown. Residents will have the opportunity to collaborate with the winemaker and be involved in the winemaking process from harvesting and fermentation to blending and bottling.

Residents will also have access to the winery’s private wine storage room and a private tasting area.

“We have the opportunity to create something incredibly unique at Four Seasons Napa Valley,” Mr. Brown said in a statement. “We will provide guests and residence owners with the rare opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the winemaking process — from harvest to bottle — and it will all be within steps of their guest room or home.”

The homes themselves have been designed with the “agrarian heritage of the region” in mind. Layouts include an open floorplan, single and two-story configurations and a choice of two, three or four bedrooms.

Designed by architect John Hill, the homes have indoor and outdoor entertaining spaces, private terraces with vineyard and mountain views and furnishing packages designed by St. Helena-based Erin Martin Interior Design.

Home prices start at $3.5 million and owners will have the option to rent their unit on a short-term basis.

“Our location, paired with a pleasant climate and vibrant social calendar across all seasons, makes Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley the ideal setting to immerse yourself in the best of Wine Country and an excellent home base to explore the region,” said Kelly Foster, principal at Bald Mountain Development, in a statement.

“As the only resort in Napa Valley to offer whole-ownership, fee simple real estate with five-star amenities, we are providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Wine Country easily accessible for owners near and far,” he said.
