Dine like an astronaut at Mandarin Oriental, Paris

Mandarin Oriental, Paris is hosting a cosmic dining experience at Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx all this March. Enjoy a gastronomic version of the dishes eaten in space by French astronaut, Thomas Pesquet, during his six-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS) which began in November 2016.

Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx will be transformed into a spaceship for these events while Michelin-star Chef, Thierry Marx, creates a unique menu including dishes such as; Lucullus’ ox tongue, Chicken supreme with morel mushrooms, and Apple gingerbread,. Menu from  EUR 230 per person.

The menu aheres to strict health and safety rules developed by the French Food Innovation Centre, directed by Thierry Marx and chemist, Raphael Haumont in response to a request from the European Space Agency and Thomas Pesquet himself.

Mandarin Oriental, Paris’s involvement in Thomas Pesquet’s space mission will be celebrated in other ways at the hotel during March. The Cake Shop will offer the Planet Marx pastry and Bar 8 will be serving inventive Star Cocktails.
