While Amazon’s Jeff Bezos made his first appearance in the top ten list of world’s richest people of 2016, he has also made his presence felt in real estate market by buying the largest home in Washington D.C. Jeffrey P. Bezos who is also the owner of The Washington Post, payed $23 million in cash for a 10-bedroom mansion on S Street NW.
Seattle-based Bezos’ D.C. pad is a 27,000-square-foot behemoth that for 90 years was the location of the Textile Museum. Located in the exclusive Kalorama neighborhood, the two mansions will undergo extensive renovations to be converted in to a single family home.
The 1914-built home isn’t meant to be the permanent address of the Bezos family. It will only be used when they will be visiting D.C. and likely to rub shoulders with neighbors like Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and the Obamas.
