Exclusive: Givenchy Gentlemen Only Absolute to Launch in India

pIn June this year, French luxury label Givenchy introduced the Gentlemen Only Absolute, a new addition to its Gentlemen Only line. The launch was accompanied by an advertising campaign starring The Mentalist-famed, Australian actor Simon Baker. After garnering popularity from across the globe, the perfume is finally coming to India this weekend. Ahead of its launch, we caught up with perfumer Jean Jacques who is the nose behind this fragrance, to delve deeper and understand whatandrsquo;s coming our way./p pandnbsp;/p pThe Gentlemen Only Absolute is said to be inspired by the fashion labelandrsquo;s idea of fashion and is touted as the ultimate scent for the contemporary, refined man. Talking of the thought process behind the scent creation, Jean Jacques said, andldquo;We built this fragrance a little differently. We didnandrsquo;t start off with an olfactive construction but with a fantasy of a fragrance trail.andrdquo; The perfumer, along with the brand, brainstormed on the fragrances which would lift a womanandrsquo;s mind.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pandldquo;We focused on the effect the fragrance would have on someone else, its projection and the power of seduction.andrdquo; As a result of which, was the idea to create a fragrance that is a combination of oriental, woody, and sensual essences. The perfume comprises zesty notes of bergamot which fades to warm notes of spices like saffron combined with cinnamon and gaiac wood. The climax of the fragrance is comes with the use of sensual scents of sandalwood, moss, and vanilla (a product which has never been used before in the brandandrsquo;s fragrances). andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pOur conversation comes to end with the perfumer defining his creationandmdash;andldquo;It is a perfume that has a very powerful scented trail.
