People may work abroad, have business interests in a particular country, or perhaps, their kids study there. So locations may be determined based on life interests. Other than that, due diligence, in terms of developers, financing operations, and clarity on laws, in terms of ownership etc, is important. IREX allows people to have face to face conversations with many of these stakeholders at one venue. The panel discussions are great opportunities to get abreast with trends and issues in the sector./p pandnbsp;/p pWhat is your opinion of luxury buyers of today? Do they know what they want, or can they get easily influenced by what is supplied to them, considering weandrsquo;re speaking of investing internationally?/p pBuyers today are very savvy. They have travelled the world, and often have a broad idea of what they are looking for, and where they would like to invest. Buying homes is a high-involvement purchase. Fairs, like IREX, provide the opportunity for them to get a clear understanding of the options available to them, all under one roof. They help consumers make better-informed decisions. andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pWhat do you feel completes a home? What must one pay utmost attention to while designing oneandrsquo;s home?/p pThe design must first take into consideration the purpose the home serves. If the owner intends to live in it, it must reflect the owner's personality and be designed to support his lifestyle. If it is to be rented out for corporate use, the design direction will naturally be quite different; and again, if it is bought as a student home internationally, the design brief will change./p pandnbsp;/p pWhich international destination would you pick for building or buying your dream home?/p pMy son's been studying in the UK and I go there often. So personally, this is the market that interests me the most at this point.
