Outerwear brand Canada Goose has opened its first ever standalone flagship store, in Toronto. The store is in the Yorkdale shopping centre in the mall’s newly developed wing which adds another 18 stores to the scheme’s retail offer.
The store is in a 4,500 sq ft unit that showcases the label’s entire range. Its size and authority is in evidence as is its local provenance. The cash desk at the back of the store for example was sculpted from a single giant piece of marble sourced from a British Columbia quarry.
will feature all the limited editions and collaborations that the brand has embarked on worldwide. There will also be a selection of vintage pieces from the company’s 60 years of archives. Glass display cases in the store feature some of these special pieces including jackets designed for Canadian Rangers and for the first Canadian climber who reached the summit of Mount Everest.
