Beyond Bridal: Sabyasachi Launches a Capsule Collection with Pottery Barn

p/p pandnbsp;/p pFashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has collaborated with American home store Pottery Barn to create a capsule collection that blends Indian colours with American sensibilities. But this is not the first time he has tried his hand at home decor. In 2015, Mukherjee designed a line of wallpapers with Asian Paints. And for Pottery Barn, his range of 50 pieces feature jewellery boxes, embroidered pillows, reversible quilts, and tufted rugs. "I hope this collection inspires people to travel. My goal with this collaboration was to bring exotic colours into American homes," says the Kolkata-based designer./p pandnbsp;/p p"Sabyasachi's Mumbai store was our first exposure to him where we all fell in love," says Monica Bhargava, EVP of Product Development at Pottery Barn. "This collaboration has led to a very inspirational collection for the holidays." Created in an India-inspired colour palette, these items are crafted by artists from Mukerjee's self-run Sabyasachi Art Foundation, an organisation that aims to empower Indian craftspeople./p pandnbsp;/p pSabyasachi for Pottery Barn pieces can be purchased from Pottery Barn stores and the brand's website from November 1st, 2016./p pandnbsp;/p pstrongMore On andgt;andgt; a href="http://www.luxpresso.com/homes-real-estate/home-decor" target="_blank"Home Decor/a/strong/p
