Red Valentino, the diffusion brand of the house of Valentino has opened a new store in London on Sloane Street in Chelsea. The space which covers 170 sq m has been designed by India Mahdavi in collaboration with Valentino’s creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. India also designed the brand’s flagship store in Rome, which has dictated the look in London.
The cool, slick design has a Mad Men, 1960s feel with soft pink blush tones, brass fittings and a burst of mustard on the curved walls. The texture is key with padded walls, as well as white Rubik’s Cube fixtures dotted around the store.
The flooring has the feel of a game of Twister with pink and mustard circular dots. The dots are replicated across the walls with brass mirrors as well as long oval mirrors in the fitting rooms. Pink seating offers a comfortable shopping reprieve.
