Gucci inaugurates new headquarters in Milan – “Gucci Hub”

Gucci has unveiled its new head offices, located in the former Caproni aeronautics factory from 1915, after three years of work.

Located near the Linate international airport, the new offices, dubbed Gucci Hub, span 3780,000 square feet and bring together Gucci’s showrooms, offices, catwalk show venue, photo and studio in a single location for the first time, reported WWD. The hub, which will house more than 250 employees, launch coincides with the Italian fashion house Spring/Summer 2017 show, taking place Wednesday afternoon during Milan Fashion Week. However Gucci opted to host its show at the former train depot on Via Valtellina once more.

The new show venue is will be officially inaugurated next year with the fashion house’s debut womenswear and menswear show - although its creative director Alessandro Michele already uses a mix of male and female models to present his collections. “The concept and design of our new Milan location symbolize every aspect of the new chapter that Gucci opened at the start of last year,” said Marco Bizzarri, president and chief executive officer of Gucci to WWD.
