Crocs: Fashionand#039;s New and#039;Itand#039; Shoe?

p/p pandnbsp;/p pCrocs recently debuted at the London Fashion Week, with Scottish designer Christopher Kane revamping the classic clogs with raw gemstones. What a way to celebrate a decade in fashion!/p pandnbsp;/p pThe fruit of this bold collaboration is a lineup of limited edition pieces are studded with marbles, sparkling stones, and crystals. andldquo; When Christopher Kane first approached us about this opportunity, we were delighted and excited to work together with such an iconic force in the fashion world, andrdquo; says Michelle Poole, Senior Vice Presidentandmdash;Global Product and Merchandising at Crocs./p pandnbsp;/p pDesigner Crocs by Kane will hit stores early next year at select Crocs boutiques across UK and US, and will also be available online. andldquo;Working with Christopher reinforces our belief that our iconic footwear is incredibly relevant in todayandrsquo;s style arena," adds Poole. "This partnership becomes a terrific vehicle for transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, and elevating the everyday into desirable luxury, which are two of Christopherandrsquo;s key design philosophies. This collaboration has legs way beyond London Fashion Week.andrdquo;/p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p p style="text-align: center;"emModels in Christopher Kane's collection at London Fashion Week/em/p pandnbsp;/p pHowever, every new idea has its detractors. A few have even been vocal about it on social platforms Twitter. Riaan George, a luxury writer and fashion blogger, despite finding Crocs practical, isn't keen on sporting the Christopher Kane version. "I think Crocs lend themselves very well to certain professionsandmdash;doctors, nurses, artists, etc. So in that respect, a pair of Crocs has a strong utilitarian element. As for this collaboration with Christopher Kane, I personally find them quite unappealing.andrdquo; Insisting the idea needs rethinking, he further adds, andldquo; The enhancements do nothing flattering to the already bulky appearance." Echoing his thoughts, celebrity stylist Nitasha Gaurav says, andldquo; While itandrsquo;s the best for kids, I personally am not a fan of Crocs. In that context I wouldnandrsquo;t say I am thrilled about these new ones.andrdquo;/p pandnbsp;/p pHowever, celebrity stylist Eshaa Amin sees Alia Bhatt and Shraddha Kapoor as the perfect fits to flaunt these new pairs. andldquo;Itandrsquo;s an interesting association, a bit unusual and out of the box. And with Christopherandrsquo;s involvement and its youthful appeal, these footwear styles are sure to make the millennial fall for them.andrdquo; While opinions on these clogs remain polarised, we leave you to pick your side until the launch./p pandnbsp;/p pstrongMore On andgt;andgt; a href="http://www.luxpresso.com/style/fashion" target="_blank"Fashion/a/strong/p
