Corpse Flower Blooms After 80 Years At The New York Botanical Garden

Visitors flood into the New York Botanical Garden to see a blooming “corpse flower,” a rare, gigantic plant famous for its terrible stench. The last bloom occurred in the city in 1939, the phenomenon being so rare that witnessing it is “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”, according to garden’s botanist.

The Corpse Flower can be viewed in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory’s Palms of the World Gallery.
