Sotheby's to Exhibit David Bowie's Private Art Collection

pDavid Bowie was one of the world's bestselling music artists, actor, publisher, curator and magazine editor. But few know about his penchant for art; he was an artist and an avid art collector. And now, for the first time ever, his private collection is up for sale on Sotheby's./p pThe British musician's art collection includes gems from London's street artists to contemporary African works, pieces from self-taught artists of Vienna's Gugging institution, as well as designs from the Memphis group./p pThis year, Sotheby's will stage Bowie's private collection in a three-part sale, comprising around 400 items, from November 1st to 10th, 2016.It will be exhibited at Sotheby's in London.
