Chanel's Haute Harvest at the Paris Couture Week

But this time around, we saw the maison literally andlsquo;harvestingandrsquo; the interest of fashion and jewellery connoisseurs with its recently-launched Les Blandeacute;s de Chanel high-jewellery collection./p pandnbsp;/p pGabrielle andlsquo;Cocoandrsquo; Chanel was born in August, which is harvest time for farmers in France. For her, the sheaves of wheat not only symbolised prosperity, but also reminded her of her peasant roots. Her love for the crops is evident in her previous designs, as well as in the elements of her Rue Cambon apartment.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pAn extension of her affinity is this new 62-piece collection inspired by the symbolism and prosperity of the wheat crops; it was unveiled at the Paris Couture Week this year. The unveiling coincided with an eye-catching week-long art installation commissioned at the Place Vendandocirc;me in Paris by street artist Gad Weil.
