p/p pandnbsp;/p pCelebrating the healing effects of emayurveda/em, the luxurious spa at Taj Wellington Mewandrsquo;s by Taj Group, called Jiva Spa, recently invited us to indulge in one of its signature treatments. Embracing the essence of holistic healing of the body, mind and soul, the spa treated us to emSushupati/em- a 120-minute therapy that includes body exfoliation and massage that can relax your senses and keep stress at bay.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongThe Spa/strong/p pstrongbr //strong/p pThe Jiva Spa at the Taj luxury residencies is andnbsp;nestled amidst 80 fully-furnished serviced apartments, noted as one of renowned American architect John Portmanandrsquo;s best constructions,. The entrance to the spa is adorned with a gorgeous floral setting of marigold leading to the reception area that is done up in hues of gold and white. This Jiva Spa centre owns seven treatment rooms, including one exclusively dedicated to andnbsp;ayurvedic massages. The menandrsquo;s and womenandrsquo;s lounge areas right opposite these treatment rooms have their own Jacuzzis and steam rooms with well-equipped showers areas and spacious changing rooms.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongThe Massage/strong/p pstrongbr //strong/p pWhen it comes to treatment, we can vouch for their authenticity. The emSushupati /emtherapy we indulged in is a unique three-in-one treatment wherein the guest undergoes a thorough cleansing of the body, mind and soul. Our treatment room exuded a unique aroma of flowers and spices that calmed my senses and helped me relax completely. andnbsp; The therapy began with a foot scrub that used a mixture of spices, algae and extracts of carom seeds to exfoliate dead skin and relax my feet. The first part of the therapy included exfoliation and body wrap; the exfoliation used a mixture of 22 ancient herbs, gram flour, honey and fresh cream to clear all the dead skin; it was followed by a wrap in layers of towels and muslin cloth While the body soaked in the essentials of the mixture, the therapist gave me a head massage, treating my scalp to aromatic extracts of flowers and herbs.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pPost the wrap began the second course of our treatment. We were treated to a royal bath in a concoction of raw milk and rose water. The bath andnbsp; rinses off dead cells while leaving your skin scented with the aroma of roses. andnbsp; After 40 minutes of holistic pampering began the third part of the therapyandmdash;a deep tissue massage.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pThe therapist used the spaandrsquo;s signature oils to de-stress the body, focusing on the stress points and loosening the knots. The body massage was followed by a languid facial massage using essential oil extracts that softened the texture of my skin. The therapy was followed by a steam bath and hot shower followed by a good relaxing time in the Jacuzzi./p pandnbsp;/p pConsidering Jiva Spas all over the country are known for their unique India-inspired therapies and treatments, this was, we can vouch, by far the best and most recommended treatment for working professionals who wish to escape to tranquility for few hours.andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pemThe Sushupati therapy at the Jiva Spa is priced at INR 7,000 plus taxes. It is advisable to indulge in it once every week.andnbsp;/em/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongMore On andgt;andgt; a href="http://www.luxpresso.com/style/skin-care" target="_blank"Skin Care/a/strong/p
