Rupert Murdoch has recently been in news for his highly publicized fourth marriage to model Jerry Hall. The American media tycoon along with his new wife has put up the townhouse in New York City’s West Village for $28.9 million.
The octogenarian media mogul had acquired the 25-foot wide townhouse in March 2015 for $25 million. Located on a picturesque, tree-lined street, the circa 1850s, Greek Revival-style townhouse presents an austere, red brick exterior that camouflages elegantly polished and sumptuously finished interiors with herringbone-pattern wood floors, black lacquered woodwork, and a trio marble-manteled fireplaces.
Variety also reports that the house welcomes with a curved staircase and is fitted with a four-person elevator that reaches up to all six floors including the basement and roof terrace.
Home to four bedrooms and four full and three half bathrooms, it includes a large bedroom with marble en suite tucked behind the kitchen on the garden floor. The master suite privately occupies the entire third floor that holds a bedroom with fireplace, a dressing room, and wide windows and glass doors that open to a slender terrace overlooking the private Bleecker Street Gardens
The marble and travertine slathered bathroom provides double vanities, a private windowed cubicle for the toilet, a free-standing soaking tub, and a steam-equipped shower.
A fully equipped, all-white kitchen opens to a combination family room and informal dining space that leads to a three-level landscaped backyard.
Other noteworthy features of this property includes, a small gym, a 1,200-bottle climate controlled walk-in wine cellar, and a recreation/screening room. 
The roof terrace renders open views of the Empire State Building to the north and One World Trade Center to the south.
