The Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Marrakech, designed by French architectural firm Studio K, will showcase a complete collection of works by the iconic designer, including couture pieces to accessories and drawings.
Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent‘s design ethos of juxtaposing straight lines with curves, as well as loose cuts against cleaner variations, the building will be primarily created from three major elements: terracotta, concrete and terrazzo. Highlights of the museum include exhibition spaces, an auditorium, a bookshop, a restaurant and a library.
The Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech will be located on Rue Yves Saint Laurent and is scheduled to open in autumn 2017.
