Already fond of their hospitality, I was more than delighted when the five-star property invited me to experience their most tranquil spaceandmdash;the Iridium Spa. Nestled on the 10th floor of the luxury property, the compelling interiors and the scented ambience of the spa gave me a clear picture of the royal treatment I was in for./p pandnbsp;/p pstrongFirst Look:/strong/p pandnbsp;/p pInspired by Moroccan and Middle Eastern architecture, the spa looks lusciously lit even in dim lighting, with an earthy colour palette tinted in gold and bronze across its walls. Suspended cutwork chandeliers adorn the ceiling of the space that leads you in; the waiting area is tastefully furnished with carpeted floors with plush upholstery dressing the cushioned furniture. Everything looks so chic; it so seems that even displacing a magazine could upset the structured set-up of this luxurious space./p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pWith nine spa suites, each named after an Indian flower, the ambience of the spa is heightened with the fresh and soothing fragrance of essential oils and flowers; it makes for an ideal weekend getaway full of self-indulgence and pampering. andnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongThe Therapy:/strong/p pandnbsp;/p pWhile I initially signed up only for a massage, the spa director, Husnavaz Dastur, convinced me to club my signature therapy experience with a cleansing platinum facial (adding another thirty minutes to my otherwise 90 minutesandrsquo; treatment). While the propsect did sound promising, even without a strong excuse backing it, I was informed, nonetheless, that is equally essential to treat oneandrsquo;s face to some pampering, just like the body./p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pandnbsp;/p pThestrong Iridium Signature massage/strong is a tailored therapy provided to guests to let them experience a rare, refined and customised experience. The therapy involves attaining complete rejuvenation with the help of the mild aromas of organic hand-crafted oils. You can pick your oil as each of the three extracts offer a healing transformation to your body. As recommended by Husnavaz, we realised it is quite necessary for men, especially during summers when as the skin tends to become rough due to the harsh UV rays and the sultry weather.The quick facial treatment involved a scrub, massage and mask that will leave your skin softer and hydrated, while reviving the texture and making it feel plumper and supple. While Husnavaz suggests atleast four sessions of the platinum facial to cleanse the skin of impurities, I could feel the difference even with the first session./p pandnbsp;/p p"In todayandrsquo;s day and age, the metropolitan male is not one to be taken for granted.
