The new Issey Miyake boutique in Chengdu has opened at Sino-ocean Taikoo Li, an expansive open air shopping complex centered around the historic Daci temple in the heart of town, and a nucleus of prestigious luxury brands. Occupying two lofty floors of a modern structure, the retail space has been designed by the brand’s in-house design team, and features a pristine white interior, furnished with boxy, modular displays and sleek metal clothing racks in a similar hue. The new Issey Miyake store carries women’s items from the Issey Miyake main collection, in addition to the pleats please Issey Miyake, Bao Bao Issey Miyake and Issey Miyake Me Lines.
