French luxury fashion brand MUGLER owned by Clarins Group is scheduled to open a new flagship store in Paris this year at 67 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The new store which will cover 300 sqm is located across the Le Bristol Hotel in Paris.
This opening marks an important new step in the brand’s expansion, one that follows the recent announcement that it has changed its logo. The brand wanted to unite its perfume and ready-to-wear labels, Thierry Mugler and Mugler Paris, into a single logo that is now simply known as Mugler.
Even though David Coma oversees creative direction, it was the House’s founder, Thierry Mugler, who is also involved in the development of its perfumes, who decided on the new logo. His surname is now on it in capital letters but his first name has been dropped.
“This new logo is based on energy and modernity. I wanted to create a definitive visual impact, a timeless architecture. It’s about the synthetisation of a world that will mark the House’s creation for a long time to,” he said in a press release.
