La Perla opens new flagship store in Tokyo at Aoyama

La Perla has opened its new flagship store in the Aoyama fashion district in Tokyo. Located in a building that has an irregular shape and was built entirely in glass, the store was entrusted to the Italian architectural studio, Baciocchi Associati. The store covers a total surface of 380 sqm spread over three floors

Clients are immersed in a striking space inhabited by large fibreglass spheres – pearled outside and chrome within – that contain mannequins and structures to display the garments. The sense of contemporary lightness created by these ‘display pearls’ is enhanced by the flooring and stairs in white marble, plexiglas modules for hanging pieces, and spherical fitting rooms.

The men’s collections are situated upstairs while the lower floor is dedicated to the women’s collections, presented in multi-faceted rooms, separated by backlit metallic-mesh walls in soft tones such as pink, lilac and sky blue. This intimate and feminine atmosphere culminates in the Private Lounge, designed like a spherical treasure box in luxurious lilac.
