As part of an ambitious plan that will see Harvey Nichols‘ Knightsbridge flagship store completely renovated over the next four years, the retailer’s menswear department has been given a complete overhaul. The department, which covers the store’s two lower ground floors, will showcase the new design concept that was unveiled in the Birmingham Harvey Nichols store last year.
Stacey Cartwright, Group Chief Executive Officer of Harvey Nichols, said: “We are incredibly excited to be well advanced on our journey to restore our iconic Knightsbridge flagship store. The first stage will be unveiled in April with the opening of our fantastic new menswear department. Significant investment has been made to create a pioneering new retail destination for menswear in London.”
Instead of a typical shop-in-shop format, the space will have “a collection of specialized boutiques” in the 28,000 sqft. space. More than 270 brands will be showcased in the department, 50 of which will be new.
The menswear department will also have a range of exclusive collections and collaborations, and a new concept space. This will have the latest in gifts, technology, sunglasses, fragrance and grooming. There will also be an installation area which will showcase a series of pop-ups and immersive experiences, and a contemporary new café that will turn into a bar in the evening.
