Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has announced its entry into Oman with two luxury resorts that will debut this year. Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort is located in the northeast of the country, and the Al Baleed Resort – Salalah by Anantara will be located in the southern province of Dhofar.
Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar is perched 6,500 feet above sea level on Green Mountain on the curving rim of a canyon, making it the highest 5-Star resort in the Middle East.
Designed to reflect traditional Omani architecture, the resort features 82 premier and deluxe guestrooms, each with private balconies or terraces, and 33 private villas complete with private swimming pools, separate living spaces, and personal butler services. The resort also features six restaurants and lounges offering culinary experiences ranging from a specialty Arabian grill to a poolside Italian restaurant.
The Al Baleed Resort – Salalah by Anantara is located between a scenic beach and a freshwater lagoon, and features 40 premier and deluxe rooms, and 88 private villas.
Taking its design inspiration from the region’s iconic coastal fortresses, the resort features lush tropical gardens, walkway surrounded by palms, and water features. Guests can choose from three dining experiences featuring Mediterranean and Southeast Asian cuisine.
Both of the resorts will offer experiences led by Anantara’s “gurus,” as well as an Anantara Spa, fitness center, tennis courts, infinity pool, and extensive meeting and banquet facilities.
