La Perla expects 30% sales increase in 2016

Italian luxury house of La Perla archived 2015 with sales growth of over 25% and estimates 30% increase this year. La Perla has recently appointed the Brazilian Pedro Lourenço as Creative Director, who will debut with the collection for winter 2016-2017.

“The talent, style and creative maturity of Pedro are the reasons for our choice – says the Chairman of La Perla, Silvio Scaglia -. His approach and his work reflect our values and the path taken by the brand in the last two years. “

“Tailoring, excellence and sensitivity to the female body combined with the search for innovation are the pillars of La Perla – adds Scaglia – and correspond to the capacity and the talent of this young designer.

According to Il Sole 24 Ore, La Perla archived 2015 with a revenue growth of over 25% to 150 million euro. A further jump of 30% is planned for 2016 and this, as we read in the newspaper, “Scaglia would project a year ahead of the finish of the 200 million euro break even planned in 2017 instead.”

On the retail front, one of the company’s focus, La Perla has opened a new flagship store of 350 square meters, on two floors, in the historic heart of Bologna where the brand was founded.  Baiocchi Associates has designed a completely new image for this space Bologna.

After the opening of Seoul and Hong Kong in autumn 2015 and that of Bologna, the plan for retail development will continue in February in Japan with the opening of an entire building in Tokyo.
