Read on as we give you a walkthrough of this grand event!/p pandnbsp;/p pThe 23rd edition of the strongLe Bal des Debutantes/strong, organised by Le Crillon the unique Paris hotel belonging to Rosewood Hotels, was held in Paris last month. Payal New York, a new and upcoming jewellert brand by Payal Mehta, was the main sponsor of this by-invitation only event with the young debutantes wearing the designer's stunning creations crafted for them for the event./p pandnbsp;/p pWhile the original venue, strongHandocirc;tel de Crillon/strong, is undergoing major renovation, this year, the Ball was hosted at the strongPalais de Chaillot/strong overlooking the beautiful Eiffel Tower. It was spectacular, to say the least!/p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p p style="text-align: center;"emPalais de Chaillot/em/p pandnbsp;/p pstrongStephane Bern/strong, a highly-acclaimed columnist and star journalist specialised in Aristocracy was the master of events through the proceedings of the evening./p pandnbsp;/p pFor the opening, the debutantes dressed in their best, escorted by their cavaliers (a male companion either chosen by the debutante or the Ball), walk around the tables, amongst the audience, while the master of events speaks a few lines about the girl, the family she comes from and her dreams and aspirations./p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p p style="text-align: center;"emThe 20 Debutantes this year with the Indian-Origin jewellery designer Payal Mehta andamp; Stephane Bern/em/p pandnbsp;/p pLater, each of the debutantes walk through the royally decorated hall one by one, this time showing off their gown and jewels along with a glimpse of character. It is amazing what some of these girls have accomplished at such young agesandmdash;Olivia Hallisey, one of this yearandrsquo;s debutantes and the grand prize winner of the Google Science Fair, designed a low-cost portable test for Ebola at the age of 17./p pandnbsp;/p pThis was also the time when the guests in the hall were treated to the most beautifully presented scrumptious meal, while the debutantes rushed between their own table and their parents', amidst much excitement and hype./p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pThe time just before dessert was topped with the historic opening of the Ball with a waltz by the debutantes accompanied by their fathers. The waltz was courtesy of the class the organisers arrange the night before./p pandnbsp;/p pThe Ball continued until wee hours of the morning, after which the debutante is chauffeur driven back in a Renault car.
