Montblanc's Artistic Tribute to Wassily Kandinsky

As a mark of celebration, the company has revealed some extraordinary and inspirational writing instruments like the Rouge et Noir fountain pen and a complicated tourbillion timepiece. A new member joining the celebrations this month is the Kandinsky Artisan Edition fountain pen, designed as a tribute to one of the most influential painters in the world. This fountain pen is created in the honour of Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian-born painter and art theorist from the 20th century. br /br /Produced at the Montblanc Artisan Atelier, this finished product is a shining example of the manufacturerandrsquo;s skilled craftsmanship. The detailing of the penandrsquo;s body is inspired by Kandinskyandrsquo;s artistic journey from Moscow to Weimar and Paris. It features a skeletonised cap made using 18k white gold, accentuated by geometrical shapes with a 3D layered effect. The cap is further enhanced by curved black lines of yellow, red and blue colour. The pen also takes subtle references from Kandinskyandrsquo;s Russian heritage. It also boasts of a dome-shaped cone set decorated with diamonds and dark blue sapphires./p pandnbsp;/p p style="text-align: center;"/p pandnbsp;/p pThis fountain penandrsquo;s nib is engraved with the initials of Kandinskyandmdash;andlsquo;Kandrsquo;, and its crown is a single diamond suspended in a clear sapphire, surrounded by two rows of diamonds.
