Setting another milestone, the auction house recently sold an Hermandegrave;s Himalaya Birkin Bag, touted as the rarest handbag in the world, for a record-breaking sum of INR 2.2 crores approximately./p pbr /Crafted from matte white Nilo crocodile leather, the handbag comes encrusted with 245 diamonds with fittings made using 18 karat white gold. The bag draws its name from the picturesque mountain range of the Himalayas, owing to the delicate gradation of its colour, which resembles the hues of snow-clad mountains.
