The exclusive 120-minute Peninsula Sleep Ceremony enables guests to relax body and mind in the tranquil, candlelit surroundings of a private spa suite at The Peninsula Spa. The journey begins with an aromatic bath using ESPA’s Soothing Bath Oil, a pure blend of Sandalwood, Rose Geranium, Myrrh and Frankincense, to ease tired and aching limbs. Guided meditation and breathing techniques release physical and emotional anxiety, and a hot stone body massage focusing on the vital energy points of the body releases harmful toxins and muscular tension. The sleep-inducing treatment is completed with a soothing face and scalp massage to relieve tight jaw and forehead muscles and calm the mind.

After the Sleep Ceremony, guests can relax and unwind in a relaxation bed in the tranquil sleep room before enjoying a light, nourishing lunch from the Naturally Peninsula Menu

Hong Kong’s own Grande Dame, The Peninsula Hong Kong, is offering guests the opportunity to experience the gold standard with an indulgent new treatment launching at The Peninsula Spa this April: the Instant Light Complexion Facial from Margy’s Monte Carlo featuring a 24-Carat Gold Chain Mask.

Launched exclusively in Hong Kong at The Peninsula in June 2015, Margy’s Monte Carlo is a ground-breaking anti-ageing programme created by pioneering beauty expert Margie Lombard and favoured by many of the world’s most glamorous and famous women. Featuring a range of rejuvenating and skin-balancing products and treatments, the brand has already inspired a dedicated fan base in Asia.

Taking the facial to even greater heights, and in keeping with the opulence, glitz and refinement of sun-kissed Monaco, Margy’s Instant Light Complexion Facial takes advantage of the unique properties of gold to revitalise the skin.

Priced at HK £343.44, the 90-minute treatment is suitable for all skin types and designed to slow down collagen depletion and the breakdown of elastin, resulting in an instant brightening effect.

Kids Yoga Classes 

The Peninsula Shanghai invites junior guests to practice their yoga poses and enjoy healthy exercise for the mind and body

Junior guests at The Peninsula Shanghai can make friends and enjoy healthy and fun exercise for their bodies and minds with new weekly Kids’ Yoga Classes at The Peninsula Spa. The yoga sessions, offering both group and personal tuition, are conducted by Kasia Wilkos, Spa Director at The Peninsula Shanghai. The weekly Kids’ Yoga Classes take place at 3pm every Saturday afternoon

Each kid’s group yoga class at The Peninsula Spa is for up to eight children, with classes divided into two age categories, from six to eight years old, and eight to twelve years old. In addition, personal kids’ training classes offering one-to-one or family yoga tuition are offered throughout the week and at weekends, with 24 hours’ notice for reservations.

Parents can take advantage of some welcome relaxation time by joining the class and perfecting their yoga poses together with their kids. Alternatively, adults can relax in a lounge chair and enjoy a classic Peninsula Afternoon Tea served on The Peninsula Spa’s beautiful navy and white tiled pool terrace while watching the children enjoy healthy yoga exercise.
