Zannier Hotels has opened ’1898 The Post Hotel’ in Ghent, Belgium

With its soaring clock tower, the post office is a Ghent landmark. The hotel is located on the top floors—thereby offering guests some of the best vistas over the city.

1898 The Post has just 38 guestrooms, accented by green walls, antiques, and high ceilings. They vary in size, starting with the cozy “Stamp” category, then spanning Duplex rooms, and spacious suites, including the most romantic room in the hotel—the Tower Suite, an octagonal-shaped aerie perched high above the city. There’s also the Loft, which is the largest suite in the hotel (700 square feet), situated under the roof and equipped with a library, writing desk, sofa and armchairs.

Not limited to hotel guests, The Cobbler bar aims to be a hot spot for locals. Enjoy craft cocktails and tapas with views of Ghent’s historic spires and rooftops. Other hotel facilities include a multi-function room for events, and The Kitchen, a cozy spot with an open fireplace. This is where a bountiful American buffet breakfast is served, along with Afternoon Tea.
