Privileged Access to France’s Exceptional Artisans
Sylvie de Guillebon belongs to a very traditional French family passionate about exceptional savoir-faire. Her dream has always been to share her passion and that is why she created “12 rue Montpensier”.
Sylvie makes you discover the workshops of exceptional craftsmen. She can open the doors to these confidential places in order to introduce you to the renowned luxury French savoir-faire.
“An artisan’s workshop is a unique, secluded space that is generally unconventional and devoted to exquisite art works, to the rhythm of their creation, to their secret techniques and to precise and patient gestures. A passion for slow-made and a distinctive notion of time are the essential conditions for the creation of a masterpiece. Hear the hammer echoing and smell the scent of wood chips… It is a place for transformation, where technical mastery exalts material form with the poetic flair of the craftsperson; an inspired, humble and free artist. Feathers bloom into accessories, violet wood gives birth to a console table… Thanks to the respectful and authentic relationships that 12 Montpensier has forged with these men and women, you may be a privileged witness to the very moment when a masterpiece is born. Meet these exceptional artisans and contemplate their gestures, their world and their creations“.
Reservations need to be made in advance as these craftsmen receive only a few visits a month.
Prices depend on the workshop you wish to visit.

Musée Bourdelle
Emile-Antoine Bourdelle was a French sculptor who worked as an assistant for the famous Auguste Rodin. The two men respected each other and their collaboration proved to be a decisive one for both careers.
This charming small museum is often forgotten by Paris visitors and this is one of the reasons why it is so nice to visit its welcoming gardens and admire the wonderful sculptures. They are ideal for a relaxing stroll at the heart of the Montparnasse district.
From the intimacy of Bourdelle’s apartment, where the artist worked, to the immensity of the Great Hall full of plaster casts bathed in soft light, visitors are free to follow their own path among the sculptor’s work.
18, rue Antoine Bourdelle – Paris 15th
